Honoring the Departed

The Islamic Community Center of Vermont (ICCVT) is committed to supporting Muslim communities across Vermont by providing compassionate and comprehensive funeral and burial services. Recognizing that death is an inevitable part of life, we aim to ease the burden on grieving families by offering guidance and assistance in fulfilling the important Islamic rites and traditions associated with this final journey.

Burial Rites

In Islam, the proper care and prompt burial of a deceased Muslim are considered acts of great significance and respect. ICCVT ensures that these rites are carried out with dignity, care, and adherence to Islamic teachings. From the preparation of the body to the burial, our team is here to guide and support families through every step of the process, helping them navigate this difficult time with clarity and comfort.

Location for the Funeral Prayer

The funeral prayer, known as Salat al-Janazah, is an essential part of Islamic burial rituals. This prayer is held at the Mosque in Winooski, VT, providing a sacred and serene environment where the community comes together to honor the departed and pray for their forgiveness and mercy. The Mosque serves as a unifying space, fostering solidarity among community members as they support one another in times of loss.

Comprehensive Support During Difficult Times

ICCVT also assists families in coordinating with local cemeteries, arranging transportation, and ensuring all aspects of the burial process are handled with the utmost respect and professionalism. We aim to provide not only logistical support but also emotional and spiritual comfort, reminding families of the eternal rewards promised in Islam for patience and prayer during times of loss.

By offering these essential services, ICCVT strives to uphold the values of compassion, unity, and faith while helping families honor their loved ones in accordance with Islamic principles. Together, we stand as a community, providing solace and strength when it is needed most.
