The Islamic Community Center of VermontĀ® was founded in 2011 with the purpose of serving the community and providing essential education on subjects related to religion and culture. Over the years, we have grown into a vibrant hub where individuals and families come together to strengthen their faith, deepen their understanding of Islamic values, and build lasting connections with one another.
OUR IDENTITY
At our core, we strive to foster a strong sense of community among young Muslims in Vermont. We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation by providing a welcoming environment where they can explore their identity, develop a sense of belonging, and grow spiritually. Our focus is to develop and execute diverse programs throughout the year, catering specifically to the youth demographic. From workshops on personal development to interactive sessions on Islamic teachings, we aim to inspire students and young individuals, ranging from middle school to college, to lead meaningful lives rooted in faith and purpose.
OUR ACTIVITIES
Our facility is open seven days a week, offering congregational prayers and serving as a spiritual sanctuary for all. Beyond daily prayers, our weekday Madarasa/School provides part-time Islamic education, equipping students with the knowledge of Quranic studies, Islamic history, and moral values. These educational opportunities empower our youth to develop strong character, uphold ethical principles, and contribute positively to society.
We also host a wide variety of activities throughout the year, including community iftars during Ramadan, youth leadership programs, cultural events, and interfaith dialogues. These initiatives aim to strengthen our bonds within the Muslim community while fostering mutual understanding with the wider Vermont community.
At the Islamic Community Center of VermontĀ®, we are committed to being a cornerstone of support, guidance, and growth for individuals and families. We believe that by nurturing faith and education, we can build a united, compassionate, and resilient community.
